About my Education
I graduated from Missouri State University in 2015 with a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Creative Writing and a Minor in Technical Writing.
While attending the University I took a variety of writing & critique courses in poetry, prose, non-fiction, & graphic narrative; as well as course in copy editing, technical graphics, & literary courses.
Study Abroad
During the summer of 2014 I spent 6 weeks in Amsterdam with IES Abroad's Society, Culture, & Gender program. I enrolled & completed two courses available through Vrije Universiteit Amsterdam & accredited through the University of Rochester in New York.
- SO/GS 340 Sex & Science: Dutch Medicine and Intersectionality. Taught by Margriet van Heesch
- GS/LT Gender & Sexuality in Dutch Literature from the Late Middle Ages to the Present. Taught by Janneke Weijermars
River Pretty Writing Retreat
In addition to my work at the University, I have attended River Pretty Writing Retreat in Tecumseh, Missouri each spring from 2012-2015.
